Tennessee : Tourist's Hot Spots

Tennessee is the right place for water sports and natural parks with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains. A thrilling experience through national parks and the beautiful skyline of the Nashville city makes Tennessee a complete combination of a metropolitan and country side. The View of the beautiful Mississippi River completes the balanced ambience of the area.

Chattanooga:
Once a settlement of the Cherokee Indians, Chattanooga is now a metropolitan and one of the fastest growing cities of the United States. Chattanooga is famous for the first ever Coca Cola bottling plant that was established here. Also the credit of invention of Mini Golf is held by the city. The City houses a number of museums and the famous rail road over the Lookout Mountains that are nostalgic of the battle during the Civil War.

•    Rock City Gardens and the Lookout Mountain: The Rock City Gardens located on the top of the Lookout Mountains houses some of the world’s ancient species of plants and rock formations including a huge garden. The Lookout Mountain gives a complete sight of the whole city and has great historical importance being one of the battlefields of the Civil War.

•    Tennessee Aquarium: The Tennessee Aquarium houses and displays thousands of specimens of fishes, birds, reptiles and amphibians from the surrounding ecosystem. Galleries of sharks, whales and multicolored corals are an enchanting sight to the visitor. Beautiful Corals, Octopuses and jelly fishes are the main attraction for the visitors. The Aquarium provides a Freshwater Adventure displaying various deltas and rivers of the world.

Nashville:
Located on the Cumberland River, Nashville, the capital of the State of Tennessee is home to numerous universities and colleges and is a hub for Education in the United States. Also it is the heart of financial and banking services in the U.S. Nashville is also famous for its soothing Country music. Late Running Bars and stereo stations outline the glitz of the City.

•    The Music Square: The Heart of Musical Industry and a source of inspiration to the world music, The Music Square located in Downtown Nashville comprises of Music Libraries, Museums and a Hall of Fame dedicated to world’s greatest Musicians. The Automobiles including Cars and Bikes that belonged to the great musicians like Elvis Presley are displayed in the Museum as memorabilia.

•    The Parthenon: The Replica of the famous Greek landmark and monument, The Parthenon houses some exquisite collection of art and paintings by American artists.

•    Opryland: The Opryland in Nashville is a site for the Grand Ole Opry and many theme parks and amusement parks, concert halls and music centers. A place for both Shopping and Leisure attracts tourists from all over the country.

Memphis:
Like Nashville, Memphis too is a place for Music but for Rhythms and blues and not to forget the city of the great Elvis Presley whose grave at his Graceland Estate is now a tourist spot. The City of Memphis is located on the junction of Wolf River with the Mississippi. A pleasant country side and with the esteem of its downtown, Memphis is a must visit place. Memphis is also one of the greatest Cotton manufacturing cities of the world due to its location very near to the rivers and a pleasant climate.

•    Graceland: The Great Old house of the ‘King’ is one of the major tourist attractions of the city. The Graceland Estate located on the Elvis Presley Boulevard is where he lived and now resides his tomb. The estate is now a museum housing Elvis Presley’s automobiles and two private jets and many other memorabilia including some furniture. Much from the Golden days of his glory can be witnessed at Graceland.

•    Mud Island: Surrounded by the Mississippi and the Wolf Rivers, The Mud Island is the right place for recreation including Bike Trails, Boating and River Rafting. Also Water Parks, museum and an Amphitheater complete the overall ambience. The Mud Island River Park is a center of attraction for the tourists.

•    The National Civil Rights Museum: Lorraine Motel, the place where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968. The place is now occupied by the National Civil Rights Museum which relates back to the history of the civil right movements in the United States.

•    STAX Museum: The STAX Museum of American Soul Music is home to greatest of American Legends who worked with STAX Records. The Museum features great moments in the history of Music.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park: The Appalachians running through the Thick forests surrounding the National Park is itself a sight of how soothing the nature can be.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park transparent in the thin mist and clouds and the surrounding valleys make it a remarkable place to be.
